Junk has been upcycling for the past 12 years working with Oxfam and Top Shop in London and inspiring people to buy and wear upcycled pieces.   • Happy Earth Day!

    As a company and individuals we are very passionate about trying to save the planet and educate people on the importance of this. 1.4m tonnes of textile waste is sent to landfill every year instead of being re-used. Here at Junk we never throw anything away and we try to show people how to creatively Upcycle their clothes, through our sewing lessons and shops. We turn old saris, curtains, bed sheets etc into handmade, one off pieces that hopefully inspire people to have a go themselves.  We run our sewing classes very regularly and include a wide range of lessons...

  • Free 'Heritage Easter Bonnet' Open Day for all

    - Easter Bonnets at Junk - SATURDAY 4TH APRIL Junk shop will be opening their doors for the big finale of the Sew Recycled classes in 2015. Spring will be in the air with Easter Bonnets and Sewing Classes from 12 till 5pm (Children over 5 are welcome with their parents 12-1pm). Bring along an old hat that the Junk team can teach and inspire you to transform.   • An ode to the lost vintage pieces.

    Whereas some of my friends would say my impulsive shopping is somewhat of a worry, I would argue that the loss of far too many beautiful vintage pieces is the reason.   • The Countdown to Festival Season Begins...

    So we are well within the two week countdown to Glastonbury which kicks off the start of Festival Season for Junk. We are leaving for Glastonbury next Sunday (yes, we are going for 11 days!) and we hope to see all of your lovely people there.
