Sustainable Fashion & Upcycling Workshop
This creative course will breathe new life into your wardrobe and advance your sewing skills whilst bringing colour and individuality to your plain preloved garments. A highly creative course working on domestic or industrial sewing machines and taught by our own Junk Shop designer Charlotte. Junk has been upcycling for the past 10 years working with Oxfam and Top Shop in London and inspiring people to buy and wear upcycled pieces. Learn how to revamp your wardrobe with customisation tips, creative tailoring and alteration techniques. We will be reworking your clothing to flatter your body shape and working on your own garments or fabrics so they can be recreated into a unique personal style. Our Islington Mill studio is a treasure trove of trimmings and vintage fabrics for you to dig through. So why not try something different and feed your creative mind throughout 2020.
