Learn new skills for life with Manchesters leading sewing school. We teach all the functions of the sewing machine including threading hemming, over-locking, button holes and zips. Use our brand new Elna Sewing machines or you are welcome to bring you own.

 - Beginners A-line Dressmaking - 

As well as covering functions of the sewing machine and recycling techniques, you will learn how to make an A-Line dress from recycled materials with techniques such as - learning to read patterns, seams, finishing, customising, hemming, tailoring and darts. This unique opportunity for beginners also saves you money and reduces clothing going into landfill. Participants can choose which fabrics to use on their Tunic Dress on arrival.  Leave with your very own Tunic Dress in 6 hours. Also includes basic sewing techiniques, threading / tensioning sewing machines and more.   All materials provided but you are welcome to bring treasured fabrics from home.    SKIRT-MAKING COURSE

Learn how to make your very own A-line Skirt in our new 6-hour in-depth Skirt making course. Learn key skills including taking your measurements correctly, hemming to your desired length, finishings etc. You will learn how to add a zip, how to make a waistband, make belt holes and add darts to give your skirt a flattering shape. Also includes basic sewing techniques, threading / tensioning sewing machines and more. Leave with your very own perfectly fitted skirt!

Learn how to revamp your wardrobe by up-cycling, customisation, creative tailoring and alterations. Alter a dress to your body shape, make bows and pockets through fun practical sewing. You can bring your own garments for the project.
